Secondary 2 students from Deyi Secondary School raised over $12,500.00 during their school carnival on 3 June 2017.
The carnival was part of the Youth Social Entrepreneurship Programme. The collection was then distributed to four nominated charities, SANA being one of the lucky beneficiaries.
For their Values-In-Action project last year, the students met up with ex-drug offender and SANA Peer Leader Jabez Koh for an sharing and Q & A. Jabez shared about his past involvement in drugs and crime, his long prison sentence and his determination to break free from drugs forever. The students later wrote motivational letters to recovering drug-offenders, which they presented to SANA.
